Our client is a leading international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With an expanding presence in Asia and strong growth in business activities, the company is now seeking a high-calibre Distribution Strategy & Transformation professional to join the Regional function in Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Senior member of the Asia Distribution function supporting strategy development and transformations initiatives across all distribution channels (Agency, Bancassurance, Partnerships, Brokers, Digital)
- Engage with local markets and distribution divisions on ideas generation, identify systemic impediments and innovation opportunities
- Deep-dive on business process analysis, financial analysis and performance analysis to identify areas of improvement and transformation opportunities
- Design project structures, set up approach, project teams, identify resources and priorities to enable the local markets or business units to deliver and execute the transformation initiatives
- Provide oversight on a portfolio of key strategic transformation initiatives from initiation and pre-execution stage, establishing the project team, resource identification, coaching project teams from planning to kick-start the project implementation & delivery
- Liaise with business units and local country project teams on project status, ensuring adherence on execution and governance framework
- Monitor project financials and programs progress, alert of issues identified and facilitate mitigation solutions
- Recommend strategic change initiatives, forecast upcoming demands, provide financial analysis and planning, transfer ideas between countries / markets, articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Business Strategy / Transformation, Distribution Strategy / Transformation, Management Consulting, Project Management
- Industry experience from sizeable international Insurance firms or Insurance sector coverage from consulting firms
- Prior or current experience from management consulting firms focusing on Insurance and / or Financial Services would be beneficial
- Some exposure to Distribution initiatives preferred
- Experience in designing, driving and executing cross-locations transformation and change management programs with ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Asia markets exposure including China would be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin
